All About Layering "JUST FOR YOU "card

 Hello everyone!

Welcome back to my blog. So I am working hard getting these cards done. I really am! I took a little sabbatical from card making but now I am motivated and determined to finish this class.

Okay, let's get into this card that was created Just For You. That's right. This card is not only for you to enjoy band admire but also to inspire you to pull from your creative genius-ness (yep it's a made-up word) but it sounds good. Don't judge me, it's the word creating genius in me. Oh, you have one too! Try it. IO bet you will come up with some goodies. Lol!

Alright, I digressed long enough. Back to this beautiful card. As you know I must give you a run down of the process. I used a slimline die to create the card base, the mat and the card front. For the card mat I used white card stock and outlined the edges using the Altenew Crisp Jet Black ink to color the edges making it look like I used black paper for the mat. Clever huh? I know. It's the creative genius shining through. Ok, I will be honest, it's a technique I learned in card making classes I took years ago.

 Supplies Used:

  • Altenew Jet Black Crisp Ink
  • Altenew Autumn Blaze Ink
  • Altenew Just Green Ink
  • Altenew Firebrick Ink
  • Altenew Enamel Dots - black
  • 110lb. Card stock - Michael's-Recollections
  • Scor-tape
Thanks for taking time out to visit my card-making blog. Have a wonderful day!

All About Layering-Layered Lily Card

Well, hello everyone! Yes it has been a long while since I posted to my blog. But hey, I'm back to creating beautiful cards for you to see and admire.

In this post, I am sharing with you a card I created using the Altenew Layered Lily stamp and die set. Let's just jump right into it. So, I enjoyed creating this card using this die and mastering my layering techniques. I used Altenew ink colors, Jet Black for the center and mocha (which you can barely see) for the stamen. Next time I will try some other colors before settling on what "I think" will work. 😄 Well, it looked okay in my mind, just so happened, when I stamped it on paper, the paper didn't agree with my thoughts. The great thing about crafting is that it is trial and error. That's how we learn right? Right. I knew you would agree. 😉

However, I used one ink pad, Razzleberry for the flower and I used 3 stamping generations to achieve the different color levels, making it look like I used 3 different ink colors. Cool technique, isn't it?

For the left side border, I used Altenew's Gold stripped washi tape and added gold sparkly sequins I purchased from Pop Shelf for added embellishment.

To finish this card off, I used Tattered and Worn boxed cards I purchased from Hobby Lobby.

This card is clean but stunning in my opinion.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you in my next blog post.

Be Blessed!
